These relate to a variety of historical themes, heritage issues and for a variety of purposes in a variety of formats. An Interim Heritage Order was placed on Girraween at the instigation of Wingecarribee Shire Council in May 2010. This historical report was commissioned by Council to inform the heritage assessment of the property  including a review of existing historical data provided to Council. 'Giirraween' was an important eucalyptus distilling site in the early 20th century and its oils won international competitions.

This report advises on the heritage significance of the PKC site in relation to the proposal to demolish the copper smelter and all associated structures not of heritage value. The demolition was part of a plan to prepare the site for redevelopment.

The objective of this Heritage Impact Statement is to assess the impact of the demolition of the Port Kembla Copper Smelter on the heritage values and significance of the former Assay Office and the 60 ft chimney stack, a remnant from the former precious mtals mill. Both are listed on the Wollongong LEP as items of local significance.

Henk Van Oyen Oral History Interview. Hank was a survivor of the Burma-Thai railway, having been captured by the Japanese in Dutch East Indies. After the war, he qualified as an engineer in Holland and emmigrated to Australia where he  worked as an engineer on the Snowy Mountains Scheme and on many other dam construction projects.
