Dr Patricia Holt is employed in-house at Sue Rosen Associates as a historian and heritage consultant. She has worked in the fields of history, heritage, bibliography, book indexing and publishing since 1981. Patricia is currently writing (in her spare time) a biography of Norman Lindsay, a development of her PhD thesis. She is a highly experienced researcher and an accomplished writer. In addition to her PhD she has a Master of Arts (Communications) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies both from Monash University.
She has contributed to heritage and history projects such as the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf, the Oswald Bond Store in the West Rocks, and fieldwork for the book The Open Air Museum (D. N. Jeans & P. Spearritt). She wrote the chapter on the Blue Mountains in Journeys into History (Graeme Davison ed.), and was the principal researcher for The Sydney Harbour Bridge: A Life (P. Spearritt). Her book on Sydney’s literary heritage, A City in the Mind, was published by Allen & Unwin in 1983. She also managed and edited an Oral History of CBUS, the building and construction workers’ superannuation fund (Monash Univerity & the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds).
