Have recently returned from the annual Cultural symposium at which stimulating, informative and inspiring papers were presented by heritage practitioners. Highlights included Australia’s (Dr Rosemary Kerr – Connecting Country; Sustaining Nature and Communities onAustralian Desert and Coastal Routes)); India’s Ram Pasupuleti on How to Digitally Archive Cultural Routes, Spain’s Rita Ruiz on the concepts of a cultural route and historic roads; and , Japan’s Fumihiko Ito on the rehabilitation of a pilgrimage route.
