Dean, is the son of Kathy Ingram who was also interviewed for the project. He had lived in the Redfern-Waterloo area since 1978. In Raglan Street, Phillip Street and Elizabeth Street. His father had been brougt up on the Cowra mission and his mother had come from the south coast. He remembers the activism of the 1980s and land rights marches. Dean  was interviewed by Sue Rosen in May 1995 as part of the South Sydney Social History Project.
