Esosa, was born in Lagos Nigeria and came to Australia when she was six years old, with her parents and two brothers. The family lived in a block of units in Waterloo – Camelia Grove- where there would have been probably about two hundred of us, everyone was from a different background … the, the Aboriginals, Greek, Lebanese and Hungarian, Asian, Chinese. A great experience with friends from so many ethnicities. She was interviewed by Sue Rosen in May 1995 as part of the South Sydney Social History Project.
