Kathy lived initailly on the South Coast and moved to waterloo when she was 12 and had lived around the area since 1957. She remembers walking to the beach at Coogee where her uncle sold hot dogs. In Waterloo the people were down to earth, and she felt acceptd as an Aboriginal person it. Whereas a 6 year stint in Lugarno and Peakhurst had been a different experience. Kathy was interviewed by Sue Rosen in June 1995 as part of the South Sydney Social History Project.
