We prepared this statement of due diligence to determine if Aboriginal objects or Aboriginal Places occur, or are likely to occur, across 49 Brighton Street, Riverstone. The statement will accompany Ardesign's DA for submission to Blacktown City Council (BCC) for the proposed subdivision and development of the site for medium density dwellings.
However, the Lot has been thoroughly disturbed by historic use and intensive farming for approximately 50 years under grantee Maurice O’Connell, beginning between 1810 – 1814. The Lot has been cleared of vegetation, fenced, and used for grazing and intensive market gardening. A brick residential dwelling, outbuildings, accesses, hard stands and invasive trees, shrubs and grasses currently exist across the site.
