The Bankstown City Council is currently preparing Local Area Plans (LAPs) to identify the specific changes and improvements required for suburbs in the East Hills LGA, as part of its long term planning. The objectives of this assessment are to:
- Investigate the historical and heritage values of the area
- Undertake detailed research on potential heritage items identified by Council to ascertain their significance
- Prepare statements of heritage significance and appropriate recommendations for protection/interpretation of identified significant items
- Identfy other potential significant heritage items in the town centres along the corridor or the surrounding area.
