This historical context report for the inn located at the Chain of Ponds Liddell was prepared for Pacific Power and was commissioned by Dawson Brown, the principal consultants. It consists of a thematic outline history, which provides background information relevant to the establishment of the inn and detail on the history of the inn itself. This is an interpretative document, which attempts to establish the significance of the inn within the context of the development of the area. Its most recent history illuminates aspects of the inn’s current condition and is significant for the valuable insight it provides into the development of heritage resource management policies from the 1960s.
A second major component of the study is a chronology, written almost in note form that enables quick reference for those who do not wish to peruse the entire document for a particular piece of information.
